Hello and welcome to my website. My name is Timothy. I’m based in Manchester UK. I make art and post it on the internet. From my self-produced original songs, to expressionist paintings and personal photographic works, I enjoy expressing myself through multiple creative mediums.

PHOTOGRAPHY
I love documenting life through the lens. From a my teenage years running around with a cheap point and shoot film camera, to bulking out my collection of medium format film and mirrorless digital cameras and lenses, photography is a lifelong passion. Whether it’s shooting landscapes, hiking out into the wilderness for sunrise, documenting everyday life in towns and cities, or photographing events and live music performances, I enjoy photographing a wide range of subjects.
I am completely self-taught as a photographer, with several key influences from the worlds of landscape, street and music photography. I am drawn to abstract compositions and dramatic lighting that complements the subject and the story I am trying to tell in an image.
Outside of self-published zines, my work is not widely distributed. I am open to commission and always interested in collaborating with people on interesting projects. MUSIC
I love to express myself through writing recording my own original music. Whilst I did not show an interest in music at school, as an adult I developed an interest in how songs are written and recorded, which led to me teaching myself the fundamentals of music theory and applying this learning to my own original songs.
I am heavily influenced by the experimental, progressive folk, rock and pop music of the late 1960s through to the late 1970s. I love music that plays with texture as much as harmonic structure, whilst retaining a singable, memorable melody. I have self produced two albums and a various singles over the years. You can find my music on most popular digital music platforms.
ART
I find painting to be an effective way to relax and sort through thoughts and ideas. The freedom of a blank page and a palette of paint to play with, to me, is an open playground to explore ideas. I am heavily influenced by the surreal and expressionist movement, popularised by painters like Salvador Dalí, René Magritte and Joan Miró amongst others.
My work is not widely publicised but I have sold a few original pieces and it fills me with delight to know that my paintings are hanging on people’s walls somewhere.
